Choosing the Best Karaoke Music
Karaoke music isn't just for the talented. In fact, sometimes it's the people who can't sing, who are less talented, that have more fun. The secret lies in choosing the right karaoke songs, your 'Juhachiban' as the Japanese say, or your signature song. Something people will tap their toes and sing along with you.
Like anything else you'll feel better if you practice with some free karaoke music before you head out to the bar, club or party. If you know someone with a karaoke machine that's great, you can practice on that. If not, it's easy enough to find karaoke music online. Practice until you know the song by heart, until you know when to pause and when to sing from the bottom of your heart and at the top of your lungs.
Your friends may already have their favorite karaoke venue. Hopefully they have chosen a place where people are nice, supportive, and more likely to applaud than wince. Most places will have a wide selection of music and won't care whether you're singing Christian karaoke music or Slayer, as long as you get up on stage and do your best.
Many people prefer to sing karaoke in the privacy of their own home. They may invest in karaoke machines. Many of these machines are portable enough to take with you on vacation, to a friend's house, or even to church. Other people, especially those who only sing once and a while, use karaoke software and karaoke downloads.
Karaoke is about having fun. There is nothing that will kill a performance faster than a singer who is up on stage feeling sorry for him or herself. If you cringe and wince, the audience will be right there with you.
Our last piece of advice? If you're worried or afraid, don't do it alone. Grab a friend and sing together, there are plenty of fantastic songs to sing with others. If all else fails there is plenty of Hindi karaoke music! And if you do the choreographed Bollywood dance moves, no one will notice if you're tone deaf.
